WHY USE A BROKER TO SELL YOUR AIRCRAFT?
WHY CHOOSE METROPLEX AVIATION?
 

Yes, you can run an ad and attempt to sell your own aircraft and avoid paying a commission. But consider this:

  • Are you interested in handling inquiries for 3-4 months; answering questions, sending photos and logbook entry copies?  Willing to dig through the logbooks to answer specific questions that the prospective purchaser or his mechanic have?

  • Is your airport easily accessed by the airlines? The airlines are pulling out of smaller towns or reducing the flights there. The remaining flights will cost more.

  • Are you willing to spend 2-3 days that is normally encountered in showing and demonstrating the aircraft, managing the pre-purchase inspection and the closing?

  • Does your location have a multitude of mechanics and shops to choose from for the pre-purchase inspection? Or will you need to fly it somewhere?

  • Can you check the new owner out in the airplane and sign off his logbook to meet insurance requirements or required FAA endorsements?

  • Are you willing to deliver the aircraft to the new owner as a condition of the Purchase Agreement?

  • Can you provide a legal and binding Purchase Agreement that protects your interests?

  • Can you take purchaser’s trade-in or sell it for him?

  • Do you offer financing? Assist with insurance? Hangar? Recommend companies that can paint, refurbish, install avionics or overhaul the engine?

All of the details associated with an aircraft sale including the Purchase Agreement, Bill of Sale, Aircraft Registration, lien releases, bank drafts, wire transfers and escrow closings are efficiently handled ensuring the buyer’s confidence.  A buyer is likely to be more comfortable in a financial transaction with a reputable broker than with an individual unknown to him.

Metroplex Aviation does not have the conflict of interest that many dealers have; and that is, I do not have numerous new or used aircraft that I own and would rather sell first.  Ask yourself whether a one-man brokerage company who has numerous aircraft listed for sale can effectively market and sell your aircraft!  At Metroplex Aviation, your aircraft gets the attention that it deserves.

My location in Dallas, TX is easily accessible from almost anywhere in the world. Dallas has two major airports and is located midway between both coasts.  Making it easier, less costly and time consuming for the buyer to see and inspect your aircraft means a quicker sale.  The area population is six million – lots of potential buyers here.

You see, selling your own aircraft is a lot more involved than running an ad! Even if you have the time, you can’t offer the advantages that I can.
